- The Hay-Adams announces a multi-million dollar renovation that will transform its rooftop.
WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Hay-Adams, one of the world's leading luxury hotels, announced today that it will undergo a multi-million dollar renovation by transforming its rooftop into a new private dining, conference and event space. The renovations will include the addition of meeting rooms, a kitchen and a service area. Included in the renovations will be the addition of an express elevator from the lobby that gives guests direct access to the roof.
Due to the construction of this new elevator and associated electrical and mechanical work, the Hotel will close beginning Sunday, June 20th and reopen in October of 2010. The new space is scheduled to be completed for its public events in early 2011.
