Celebrating the Centennial Cherry Blossom Festival at the Hay Adams
2012 marks the 100 year anniversary of the gift of 3,000 trees from Japan  to Washington, DC. As a reminder of this kind act of international friendship the Hay Adams is serving a delicious 3 course dinner in the Lafayette Dining Room throughout this year's Festival (March 20-April 27). Enjoy Ribbons of Ahi Tuna Salad marinated in ginger, followed by Grilled Black Angus Tenderloin with a Soy, Garlic and Coriander Glaze and Morello Cherries Jubilee with housemade Buttermilk Ice Cream. The dining experience will be complimented by Tom Vogt on the piano. $55 per person includes a glass of champagne upon arrival (exclusive of tax and gratuity). Mothers Day Brunch on the Top of the Hay (May 13, 2012)
Reward Mom on her special day with a delicious brunch buffet from Chef Peter Schaffrath featuring a chilled seafood Bar, Carving Stations, a wonderful bounty of fresh produce from our local farms and an amazing housemade dessert buffet from the Lafayette Restaurant's pastry chef. This year's celebration will take place in the ‘Top of the Hay' - the Hay Adams' extraordinary new venue located on the hotel's 9th Floor with stunning panoramas of Lafayette Park, St John's Church and the White House. The dining experience will be completed by Tom Vogt on the piano. $110 per person including a glass of Scharffenberger Brut upon arrival/$50 per child 12 and under/$135 per person paired with wine. The Hay Adams offers a choice of private dining rooms and venues for your event or celebration. These include:

  • ‘Top of the Hay' Our extraordinary new venue located on the hotel's 9th Floor with stunning panoramas of Lafayette Park, St John's Church and the White House. Interconnecting function rooms, are available individually, or in combination. This allows you to customize the space for your event, with the appropriate room size. Depending on your guest list, you can host 15 or 340.
  • ‘Off the Record' Selected by Forbes.com as one of the "World's Best Hotel Bars," Off the Record is well known as Washington's best place to be seen and not heard. Your host, John Boswell, 4-time winner of the Washingtonian's "Best Bartender Award," takes pleasure in mixing his classic specialties for your enjoyment. Off the Record is a great choice for a relaxing party.
