Valentine's Day
Celebrate Valentine's Day with dinner at the Lafayette restaurant, Washington's most romantic dining room. Located in the historic Hay Adams Hotel, your special evening at the Lafayette begins when we greet you with a glass of champagne. Chef Peter Schaffrath has prepared a delicious 5 course menu featuring entrée choices such as Pan Roasted Halibut, Roasted Niman Valley Beef Tenderloin and Maine Lobster served with a Vanilla Bean Butter Sauce. For dessert our selection includes a hot Valrhona Chocolate soufflé paired with a frozen raspberry glace. Your dining experience will be complimented by Tom Vogt on the piano. Reservations are available between 5:00pm - 10:00pm and can be made directly with the Lafayette Restaurant (202-638-2570) or through OpenTable.com. $79 per person includes a glass of Scharffenberger Brut. Prices are exclusive of tax and gratuity.
Private Events and Parties
The Hay Adams offers a choice of private dining rooms and venues for your event or celebration. These include:
- ‘Top of the Hay' Our extraordinary new venue located on the hotel's 9th Floor with stunning panoramas of Lafayette Park, St John's Church and the White House. Interconnecting function rooms, are available individually, or in combination. This allows you to customize the space for your event, with the appropriate room size. Depending on your guest list, you can host 15 or 340.
- ‘Off the Record' Selected by Forbes.com as one of the "World's Best Hotel Bars," Off the Record is well known as Washington's best place to be seen and not heard. Your host, John Boswell, 4-time winner of the Washingtonian's "Best Bartender Award," takes pleasure in mixing his classic specialties for your enjoyment. Off the Record is a great choice for a relaxing party.
