The Hay-Adams Hotel Celebrates the 40th Anniversary of Earth Day
In celebration the 40th Anniversary of Earth Day, The Hay-Adams hotel is commemorating the occasion by providing seedling burlap trees for all guests, patrons, and associates of The Hay-Adams. All children will be invited to participate in an essay contest, "Why trees are important to the planet and to me". The Hay-Adams fervently believes in protecting our environment through the conservation of materials and energy, and is committed to meaningful and dynamic green initiatives.
"We are so proud to be involved in the 40th Anniversary Celebration of Earth Day. And, after much collaboration, we could think of no better way to communicate our message with our patrons than by encouraging them to participate by planting a tree, and by encouraging our young guests to reflect about what the environment means to them. Through planting trees we can restore areas damaged by wildfire, where critical wildlife habitat has been lost, and we can clean our air and water." Says Hans Bruland, General Manager of Hay-Adams.
The Winner of the contest will receive a 3day/2night stay at the hotel for their family. For more information please contact Doug Camp, Director of Sales and Marketing at 202.835.2263 or visit our website for contest details at www.hayadams.com
